Steam Gifter badge
I have a question.... We are given a badge for the number of games we have in our library, then we are given a badge for the number of community rewards we have given and received, but for some reason there is no badge for the games we give to others... In my opinion, such a badge should exist and improve depending on how many gifts we have sent. This would help recognize players for the games they have given. Does such a badge have the right to exist?:zagpls:

No a badge like that should not exist. How many games i have gifted is no one else's business but my own.

I don't need or want people begging me to gift them games. That is 100% what would happen if a badge like that was a thing.
I send tons of games to an alt account.

My badge would be more than I own on this account.

First of all, your profile is private... Secondly, you can choose not to display this badge on your profile.:steamfacepalm:

My profile status has nothing to do with the subject.

Seeing as people have been asking for away to change the badges displayed on profiles for years and Valve hasn't added it. Something tells me if this badge was a thing we would have no choice in who can see it.
Sounds like a good idea, but in reality it isn’t. This would just lead to people begging

Nope as d3str0y3r explained in the first reply you got. No one other than the sender should know how many gifts they've send. It would only result in mass begging and encourage people to stop gifting.

I mean the idea is nice, would be a good addition.

And for people that have nonsense reasons against it, just add an option to hide it, like for the profile awards.

Me having 3k+ games doesn't indicate I giving others games to others left and right. In fact I give them very rarely if ever. My game collector showcases merely showcase the games I like. If I could rename the showcases, I would, but you deal the cards you're given.

As for people begging games from me, I don't remember any times it have happened though memory is a fickle thing. Answer would almost certainly be a flat refusal.

3k+ indicates that you have the opportunity to afford it. If you compare my 50+ badge and your 3k+, then with a high probability they will ask you for the game as a gift. Your badge is a "marker" for people, and you also put it as your profile badge :steamfacepalm:

If you had a badge on which the total number of gifted games would be, say - 2, with your collection of 3k+, then this would serve as a marker that you do not gift games, and people would not have the desire to ask you for something. But you put up the "generous buyer" badge on display. Therefore, I believe that this is what indicates purchasing power and gifting. With all due respect to you.
