I'm getting sick of it.
Sick of the Hypocrisy. Sic of the Lies. Sick of the double standards. sick of the betrayal. I have bought close to 1000 Games on this platform and now you are starting to. 1. Break your promises on preserving and allowing games here. 2. Fail your Guarantying I will never lose the games I have bought and paid for on this platform. and 3.block my being able to buy what I want with my money as long as it's legal here on this store.

So tell me ... WHY ... why should I keep buying here. Why should I trust you to do your jobs. why shouldn't I sue you to get all my money back for you breaking your promises and FAILING to meet your end of our agreement. I WANT TO KNOW WHY! so steam ... tell me. are you worth trusting? are you still going to ensure I can always play the games I own no mater what? are you going to set things right purge the staff that have broken your rules and started unjustly and allegedly blocking content with racial bias. I really want to know and if I don't get an answer it might be time to take this to court for failure of service.

1) Preservation of games is dependant on the developers of those games keeping them updated to a playable state. What's "allowed" can be determined by law as well as by Steam.

2) You will never lose games you have bought, even if they've been delisted from the store. Once you buy the license, it's yours and tied permanently to your account.

3) You can buy what you want with your own money here, so long as what you want is available on the store, nothing more.

So what's got you so worked up?
I don’t know if Steam promises anything about preserving games that sounds like GOG.
If you don't know then you should leave and do some searches and come back I don't have the patience or the presence of mind to educate you on the situation right now. especially if your trolling cause their is no way your so far under a rock you don't know what's going on right now.
And for clarification this post has nothing to do about game preservation that's a different matter what I'm talking about when I said Preserving games is mainly the ability to download games that you bought that were delisted which I have good reason to believe they will break that promise very soon if they haven't already.

You've made vague and baseless accusations about a loss of service. Just provide clarity and we can all move on.

I have already made several points about the frustrations you listed in your first paragraph.

You will never lose your ability to download games that have been delisted from the store, so long as you bought the game before it was delisted. It will always remain in your library.

Assuming they will eventually make this impossible is just you wanting to hate them for something else.

Vague and baseless so you really haven't heard a damn thing have you?

Ok then here's a list

1. games have been being removed from the platform because of new rules that go against steams original TOS which brought a lot of us here and shouldn't have been changed on a whim because payment processors got butt hurt about stuff they had no right to dictate.

2. they have been trying to play both sides of the payment processor conflict rather then defending our rights this has destroyed my trust and others trust in their word, ability to do their job with out bias, and the worth of their TOS since they changed it without a fight.

3. incidents have come to light lately that the moderation team may have members wrongfully pushing an anti Porn / anti Japanese agenda which is blocking games from being released even though they don't break any of the rules one such case that was brought to my attention recently is a horror game that was entirely built around using steam that game is Red Pine Lake. the reason for it's denial had nothing to do with the game at all it was a promotional image of a girl in a swim suit standing next to a lake slightly to the right of center screen.

this and many other details have given me good reason to believe steam is not going to live up to any of their promises and if that is the case then I WILL get a lawyer and take them to court to get my money back.

This is over Vnovel games about highschoolers in bikinis, isn't it?

Because...I've got a few games that were delisted like a decade ago, that still run with minimal tweaks...

while what's happening with Vnovel games is sad to hear about I had no Idea that was happening but I'll add it to the list.

No, don't. Steam doesn't want sexualized minors on their platform, which should be applauded.

That's a lot of the vnovel games that are being removed from Steam. Highschool or middle school aged characters in bikinis, in compromising positions.

Which should be applauded, that Steam's removing them.

That "anti-Japanese agenda" is basically just cleaning up sexualized images of characters under 18.

1) Games have been delisted for depicting minors (or characters that can be assumed to be minors) sexually or in sexual situations.

2) They removed a handful of fringe adult content games that depicted minors sexually in every form. You also don't know what went on, or didn't go on, behind the scenes between Valve and these payment processors on the issue.

3) What incidents? Moderators don't have the power to allow or disallow games on the store. This is determined during the review process when a game is submitted to Steam, before being put onto the store. If a game is disallowed, it's not because moderators have some agenda (they don't, because official Steam mods are an outsourced company).

Best of luck taking them to court over any of this. None of it is illegal.
Thanks for the free points my man.

Hope the chat with your lawyer goes well

1. that is a blanket statement that is objectively wrong on 90% of all affected games and often used as a cover statement to hide wrong doing

Best of luck taking them to court over any of this. None of it is illegal.

2) realy trying to push that lie huh can you even list a single game that actully had this said content I don't think you can.

3.You don't know do you wow ok keep living under a rock Naively thinking every person in a position of power won't abuse it it's not my responsiblity to wake you up
