When I create a list on a curator page, a tooltip for the Visibility setting says "The unlisted list can be used as a featured list on your homepage." If I choose Unlisted, edit the curator page, choose "Feature A List", and choose my "unlisted" list, then I can see it on the page, but other users cannot. That doesn't seem very useful.
