Censorship Is Taking Over Gaming
One thing I always loved about gaming, whether it was Steam, Microsoft, Nintendo, or PlayStation, is that it used to feel like an open space for creativity. Developers could make what they wanted, and players could choose what they enjoyed.

Now it feels like these companies are being conditioned to follow whatever is considered appropriate by a small, loud group. They are being pressured and even blackmailed into censoring content. We have seen other corporations use their power to control what people can publish, buy, or even say.

Everyone talks about fighting fascism, but many of those same people defend the most authoritarian ideas when it comes to expression. Censorship has become so normalized that people do not even realize how conditioned they are to accept it.

What makes it worse is that many of the people pushing this believe they are the rebels or free thinkers, when in reality, they are backed by massive corporations that sponsor mainstream media, sports, and advertising. It is one of the highest levels of power, being used to silence and marginalize the people who made gaming what it is today.

I understand where you are coming from. I used to think like that too. I went from supporting one party to the other, and eventually realized that both sides feed off the same division. We are being conditioned to hate people we probably agree with on most things.

Our political system creates problems, sells us the solutions, and then convinces us to despise anyone who questions them. It is noise, and it keeps people distracted.

We are a bit off topic here, but this exchange actually shows what has gone wrong, not just in the United States, but in many countries. Modern democracy only works when people are divided. It relies on us disliking each other.

Meanwhile, the people at the top are often funded by the same donors. Much of what we see on television is curated propaganda meant to keep us angry and distracted while nothing meaningful changes. Both parties talk about helping the public, but the result is always the same. The middle class gets smaller, and regular people keep losing ground.

Politics has become theater. The real power is held by the people who use division to control us. People like the ones censoring this game! ^_^
Ai feeds off both.

So does natural and artificial stupidity. And we are creating a lot of both.
+1. also wants to give a shout to escape from duckov
