Adult Content Advertisement
Selecting the, "categories," section of the store menu I am advertised, "adult content," as the first and most furthest left category.

I have several hundred titles in my library, and of those maybe 2 are adult games. My most recent purchased going back at least a year have been 1 adult titles.

I left the content uncensored so that I may have the opportunity to peruse availability, not for content I actively do not buy to be advertised first and foremost.

I know that this is targeted advertisement because the other categories in the menu are genres which I do often frequently and exclusively purchase, such as "medieval." These are not categories of popularity because, "medieval," is not a popular genre when compared against action shooters, extraction games, and pvp and coop titles on steam.

There is 0 reason why, "adult content," should be one of my top categories in the steam store. I've submitted a ticket to steam support regarding, "account data," because there was no clear category to submit this issue. In the support ticket I've included a link to this thread and screen shot the thread in the event that it is removed or locked.

Oversharing the private correspondence here may be against Steam TOS so proceed with caution in that avenue.
You have adult games in your library that you have purchased, so Steam is advertising them to you amongst all the others.

I don't see an issue

The issue is that out of 400 games steam is recommending me adult content for 1 or 2 purchases which include sexual content but are not what I would describe as, "porn games." I provided plenty of evidence to show this including a screenshot of my library and recent purchases. I'm not sure how you could be confused or oblivious. You don't see an issue because you literally did not read the thread at all, neither the premise (I am being served sex ads) or conclusion (there is no justification and this is an agenda set by steam) or supporting evidence (every screenshot I posted).

If the algorithm decides what games to recommend primarily proportional to prior purchases it would be odd.
If you don't want to see adult content, did you try unchecking the display adult content button you had to manually check?

You didn't "answer it". You posted that you enabled the box to see content you don't purchase or, apparently, want to see at all. Have you considered simply not seeing the stuff you don't want to see?

If there is an agenda, what is it? To promote sexual content to users? What good does that do them when the adult only content filter is turned off by default.

You have "adult" games in your library, that's enough. What does it matter whether it should be considered a "top genre" or not?

What's the conspiracy here?

Your reading comprehension is below my interest to communicate with you.

I, like many others, do not spend hours a day searching recent releases and often find new titles by looking at the, "featured," section of the steam store. In my case, this, "featured," content includes advertisement for games I do not purchase. I have no idea why this could be happening but I do know that if I have to use a different website to search for new releases then I will simply use that website instead of steam entirely.
