Hardware Survey not Accurate.

I noticed a few AMD cards are not even in the list of the hardware survey (as i was asked to do it today) and my video card doesn't even show up or higher ones? How is it a survey if its missing vital data..

Cards missing that i noticed are the newer.
Rx9070
Rx9070xt

I'm not sure but there are probably others missing as well, Is it to bloat Nvidia cards stats or what? as the new Nvidia cards are conveniently added?

Been a thing for months. People have reported it in various forums.

Also, VRAM can be miscalculated too.

Same here, my GPU has 16GB VRAM, survey detects as 2GB.

It seems to be doing that with all 9070 and 9070xt.. Conveniently Steam hasn't fixed it since they released..

It never has detected my dedicated GPU, not on this device and not on the previous one. It simply looks at the first gpu listed on your device and that usually is the igpu.

People have reported one of them results as being labeled as "AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics" or "AMD Radeon Graphics" because of it detecting the igpu as one of them and the other from the 9xxx series because of amd's driver issues causing this.

Surveys are merely there to give an indication of something. It's indeed not exact science and the value of the output depends on what one wants to get out of it.

Simply put, to you it's pointless, not to other people. So, you ignore it and people who want to use it, do so.

Or are you one of those arrogant narcissists who think that because they see no use in it, other people aren't allowed to use it either?
