For clarity: I am NOT opposed on Valve selling this game on their platform nor do i want a discussion about morals. As a gamer, i just want Valve to change their game acceptance process in a way that offers equality of opportunity, transparency and is fair to us customers.

This here game has gone through the Steam game review process and has been deemed worthy as a product to sell on their platform. Now again i like to clearly state that i am in no way opposed to Steam selling this game on their platform nor am i here to discuss the morality of this work in any way.

I just want to point out a few things:
1. Steam's game acceptance process is random at best and biased at worst. Where games that have not a hint of naughtiness get rejected because there might be minors in vulnerable situations or suspected child exploitation where there actually is none.
2. By allowing this game on their platform Steam have lost the moral high-ground and have no justification to ban any game no matter its content, as long at is not against the US federal law.

So they can fire Mary and DungeonTravelers 2-2 for example can be sold here without any issue, Huzzah.

So what is this game about you ask?, well let me show you the content description to get the idea:

Seems like people who play this game, do so clearly for its Christian message (joke).

So we seem to have a game where people get exploited, abused, drugged, tortured, enslaved, r*ped, murdered and those actions are committed by a party in a position of trust and power and received by another party in a position of dependence.

I have not played this game nor is it likely i ever will, so i gathered this all from the store page and for legality reasons the content description will make it seem worse than it actually is. But i am not here to write a review, i only want to point out the blatant hypocrisy by the Steam store, when it comes to allowing which game on the store, and by extension a lot of its consumers who are up in arms in a heartbeat ready to burn the gooners alive while happily keep using and supporting the platform that generate their income by providing gooning content and that gladly takes their stained dollar bills........

If this game is allowed on this store there is a growing suspicion that i had which seems more and more real:
- Steam is not forced to censor itself by any payment processor, authority, organisation or NGO, but do so willingly at the drop of a hat without warning.
- Unless you are a major publisher with a horde of lawyers at your bidding, the process to get your (mainly Japanese) game on the store might as well be a tossing a coin.
- Steam has no moral issues of any sort when i comes to the approval of games.
- Someone or some reviewers in the approval process seem to have a personal issue with games where there are fictional "minors" that are placed in compromising/vulnerable positions in games like in LoveR an is waging a personal crusade, so games with somewhat risque content or not even having anything remotely like that can be banned, refused a place to sell on the Steam Store for no apparent reason and citing child exploitation willy nillly, destroying a future because of a personal opinion,vendetta, or dislike.

So i like to ask Steam to make their review process in accordance of the US federal law to not prohibit the sale of any games unless its content is deemed illegal by that same law.

Remove any personal bias from the game approval process and create a fair environment for every developer regardless of political affiliation, religion, culture or perspective on society as long as it is legal under the US federal law.

Engage in clear communication with developers and clearly state on which grounds a game has been rejected/banned from the Steam store with footage of the content which is in violation of the Steam content rule so the developer can relay this to the community if they choose to do so to inform their community who often have to guess where the game is gone.

This might be a little over-reacting since Steam is a private company and can allow and refuse what they want, however they want. I agree but recently Steam is becoming more and more of a monopoly where selling or not selling your game on Steam is a humongous factor between success and complete failure. Steam is burning their customers trust like a Soviet era electric generator burns diesel. Banning games, changing CS loot rules all while not communicating and the customer have to take and has little choice to agree since a lot have major investments in the Steam platform, be it games or its community, so i think its time for some changes that make us trust Steam again.

And the Steam community i would like to ask: If you see a game that you don't find interesting, morally questionable, or even repulsive. Use the by Steam provided tools to ignore the game or even its developer and move on. No use to harp on the community topics how morally righteous you are, how we need to face walls for playing game x or liking genre y. It is rather tiresome to wade thread after thread like that when all you is looking for a solution to stop the game from crashing again and again.

Live and let live you know, real life is hard enough so let us all be free in our choices when it comes to fiction, maybe someday we might find each other on the same side in the trenches to defend that which we both value.
