Demos in "no recorded activites" that I didn't add
Hi,

I’ve done some research but I still don’t have an answer.

- These titles show up in the “No recorded activity” section of my library.
- They’re all greyed out. Clicking them gives “no page found”, and the store link just redirects me to the featured store page.
- All three are racing/car-related games .. a genre I’ve never been interested in.
- They’re quite old, released before I even joined Steam.

Here are the exact names as they appear in my library:
- GTR Evolution Demo Dedicated Server
- Race On - Demo: Dedicated Server
- STCC - The Game Demo Dedicated Server

I’m really confused about why they’re showing up. When I click on the support option, Steam says I don’t actually own these titles. They also don’t appear under “Licenses”.

The only thing I’ve been able to do is hide them, but I’d like to understand why they’re in my library at all. Does anyone have any insight into this?

The demo may have been removed from the store pages of the particular game by the developer. That is most likely why they are greyed out.

I understand that part. However, do you have any idea how they ended up in my library if I never acquired them? That’s what puzzles me. Is the only possible explanation that I or someone with access to my computer added them?
every account owns a bunch of dedicated servers and tools for various games. they usually don't show up unless you select show tools or search for their name.

Can you explain this in other words? I am sorry but I don't understand what you are trying to say here.

Every account has these tools. Uncheck the Tools filter in the Games drop down menu above the game list on the left.

Although those I was questioning were not tools, I am glad you explained that to me. I never even looked at the tools section [wow]. We learn a new thing every day
