Bro it's been 2 hours since the Silksong release and the service still isn't back up!
I've been waiting to buy this game for 2 hours!
And somehow, the store still isn't back up fully. Steam, a huge platform, being broken by an indie game TO THIS EXTENT

How does this happen?

Like, I understand, the hype is insane. I am insanely hyped for Silksong as well!
There are a lot of people trying to buy it

Maybe it will turn out that the whole Steam payment system is running off of someone's mom's old laptop up to now. ;)

I'd contact devs or related sources, Steam just provides a platform for the game

Can you download this game? If you did and there's some login trouble, then it's not on Steam , as far as I know. If there's a downloading issue, I'm honestly not surprised, because we have this happening every sale and probably every hype game release. It's nothing new...

Looks like a classic "server hug of death". Proves that you don't have to make a game that needs a 5090 to be great.

people still can't buy it because of the steam server issue.
Looks like we're back to the same old "unanticipated" overloads. Unfortunately, all you can do is wait until they fix their stuff. :47_thumb_down:

No, I don't think so, because mass amount of people are reporting Steam issues with payment.... Devs may be able to give you an update,since they are in direct contact with Steam, but I wouldn't count on it
