Where is this rule written? If it were true (which it isn't) you wouldn't have a dropdown box that lets you set the language of your review. That drop down also only designates under which language the review will be counted, you can still write in another language, too. That is, you can write your review in both French and German, if so you wished, but you can only list it under one language.

Also, my bad, but I guess I have worded my question not eloquently enough. I was a bit confused about the language based review score Steam has introduced lately and I was wondering if my review will not count in case the language Steam is set to and the language of a review are different.

I got confused about the language based review score Steam has introduced and I was worried that my review would not count or be seen in case the Steam language and the review language are different.
And I was totally missing that dropdown box and now I feel stupid. :)
