Do I have to write my reviews in english now, although I am german, since I have set Steam to english?
This.

I like to play my games with english dubbing and have set Steam to english for a long time now. Makes things easier, since my games are set to english right from the start.

But with the new rule that reviews have to be in the language Steam is set to, I am now forced to either set Steam to german or write reviews in english? Or are they looking for the country I live in?

No. You can set the lanuage of the review when you're writing the review. There's a little drop down box under the main text field.

Where is this rule written? If it were true (which it isn't) you wouldn't have a dropdown box that lets you set the language of your review. That drop down also only designates under which language the review will be counted, you can still write in another language, too. That is, you can write your review in both French and German, if so you wished, but you can only list it under one language.

Thanks a lot for your answer, I will check it out!

Also, my bad, but I guess I have worded my question not eloquently enough. I was a bit confused about the language based review score Steam has introduced lately and I was wondering if my review will not count in case the language Steam is set to and the language of a review are different.

I will ckeck this dropdown box thing out and thanks again!

My bad, I think I have worded my question not the right way.

I got confused about the language based review score Steam has introduced and I was worried that my review would not count or be seen in case the Steam language and the review language are different.

And I was totally missing that dropdown box and now I feel stupid. :)

I will check it out, thanks a lot for your answer!
