Unable to ask a question about a game unless I buy the game first? Huh?

I noticed Sims Legacy is available for windows 10 and 11 but I wanted to ask a question before purchasing the game. The system decided "members only" can post questions. Does that mean I can't ask a question about a game before I buy it unless I have already bought it?

I don't own the game and I can post a new thread in the General game forum

Insure you ar logged into Steam on your browser.
Then you can click on ask a new question.
I've never had problem asking about a game I havent bought yet .
Tested this and works fine. But requires you to be logged into Steam.

Are you possibly in the Events & Announcements sub forum? Look to the right and you should see a list of sub forums available for that game. One of them is always open to all.
