Quick question: Have you got the Age Verification system to work ?
I would like to know if anyone has successfully managed to interact with the Credit Card Age Verification system on Steam - and it completely 100% successfully worked for you.

And when I say it worked - I mean you used an actual Credit Card (not a Debit Card ) and once the Credit Card was saved to your Steam Account, you were then able to do the following:

1) View mature / adult category game Storefront pages. (for games you don't own)
2) View mature / adult category game Community Hubs / Forums Discussion pages. (for games you don't own)

Has anyone been able to ?
(Please say if you were only able to do #1 or # 2)

Cheers.

[PS - This is not a discussion about the merits of CC-AV, or privacy, or security concerns - I just wanna know if the system is actually working, on a majorly basis.]

My credit card is attached to my Steam account but I can't do 1 and I don't own any adult games to see if I can access community hubs

I don't think this system actually works lol
Hey guys I just linked my credit card to my account

I checked a token blocked game Lust Goddess, I can check the store page now

The Community Hub is still blocked anyways

"This Community Hub is not available in your region."

I checked my account settings and all the Store and Community boxes are ticked, I unticked and re-ticked all the Community ones just to be sure
I'm curious on this question too.

Since lets say there is a game that is flagged by this rule that you want more info on, if you cannot access the discussions/community hub for that, then you are gambling with your money on what could be a "product product" if you buy it, just to access the forums.

Ok, I think your the first person i've see say the AV system (kinda) 50% worked.

So it still doesn't seem right that even after your account is age verified that the forums (for games you don't own) are still blocked ?

According to Valves article :

If the process is successful, you can now choose to add previously unavailable mature content types on the Store Preferences page.

And those "mature content types on the Store Preferences" page include both "Store Products" (store pages) and "Community Content" (forums) as seen below :

Some products and user-generated content on Steam may not be appropriate for all audiences.
Tick these boxes to indicate which Store products and Community content you see on Steam

So clearly age verifying is not unlocking everything it should be doing.

Exactly !
Many people use the forums for a game as an invaluable source of info to make a purchasing decision for a game. I can't tell you the amount of times i've avoided issues with a game, just by taking a quick glance at it's respective forum.

Only #1. I can't view the community hub for mature games I don't own.
Has anyone sent a Steam Support Ticket on the issue, since this could be extremely concerning.
