Steam protector issue
steam protector has interesting mechanics, but given the huge market for skins outside the steam system, built on exchange, won't this lead to situations where buying a skin from a service \exchanger\friend for real money, they can return what they bought using steam protector's mechanics?

Valve does not support 3rd party trading sites or any transactions that happen outside Steam. You're doing those at your own risk.

You are not supposed to do real money trading so that is expressly not Valve's issue.

The only supported way to trade on Steam is through the trade window.
