Report a translation problem
Exactly the same as me. I've been with Steam, from the same place of residence, since late 2003, using the same bank account (which I have had since I was 10) and the bank's own debit card. I checked my Steam purchase history today, which goes back as far as 2009 at least. (Maybe earlier history isn't kept.)
Now, I know it's ultimately the idiot UK Government's fault, but Steam knew this was coming a LONG time ago, and THIS is the best solution they could come up with in all that time? Actually, that lack of foresight and planning sounds just about right for Steam. 😄
I haven't owned a credit card in over 30 years, and I'm not about to get one just to keep using Steam. Looks like "Hello, Epic Store!" from now on, for me. All actual kids will do is ask a parent to buy the games for them using a credit card, because most parents don't give a toss about Steam or what games they sell.
Also, you don't need a game added to your wishlist to buy it.
