The Problem With Steam
isn't the platform, as a platform it works fine, the problem is the way these games are priced on the platform, modern games are garbage, and games older than a year or 10 years are priced at more than they were when released, Games aren't worth the prices steam ask. and people aren't buying this garbage. Purchasing overpriced ♥♥♥♥♥♥ games on steam is what fools do.

Considering, that prices are not set by Steam, your take seems to be pretty flawed. :LWN_LittleBlackCat:

Not only this but, the OP has already made a thread on this topic.

Why make another?
Very few games maintain or raise their price on steam 10 years past release date, and in fact the prices when they don’t change nominally effectively continue to lower over time with sales at deeper and deeper discounts.

People wouldn’t have these huge backlogs otherwise.
As you were told in your other thread, "Steam" doesn't set the prices. Nobody's stopping you from selling a game on Steam and only charging a dollar for it.
Why a new thread? https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/discussions/forum/0/601913886224151810/

Anyway, the answers don't change. Prices are the same across various shops, that alone shows it's not a Steam issue.

That said, that older games have to be priced lower is something people make up because they try to compare two different business models (physical vs digital) and don't understand how either actually works. There is no set rule or anything for how pricing works.

I wish I quoted OP's adverisement attempt. The language filter censoring site's name was priceless. :SlimyLaugh:
publishers decide the pricing on their games
Valve provides tools and suggestions, but ultimately, developers or publishers set the price.
