VISA/Mastercard Contact
I don't make threads often, and making yet another thread on this matter seems easier than copy-pasting the same thing across a multitude of threads.

I've heard that a certain group are claiming responsibility for this recent change in Valve partner rules, leading to potential risks (however high or low we feel those risks may be) for other games being sold on the store, many of which we know and love. Now, just because a certain group claims responsibility, doesn't mean they are responsible.

But let's say they are, they've obviously gone to some effort to get these payment processors to see some need to do what we've just seen. I don't care about whether anyone agrees or disagrees with the type of content being removed, there's plenty of threads to debate about that.


But if you're wanting to make your voice known to these payment processors directly, I would recommend politely contacting them through their support channels. They are listed below (apologies for the AUS websites, hopefully you can still use them or find alternatives).

I'm not sure which one of those is best.

I mean, you can do that if you think it'll achieve anything.

I will simply stick to the more reasonable recommendation that people contact them directly on the matter.

For sure, but then how did this supposed group manage to apparently convince them to clamp down on what we're now seeing?

I'm just trying to find a way to get people to stop complaining about it (uselessly, I might add) on these forums and maybe be more proactive about it.

This is one avenue.

Probably because the corporate position was predetermined, and the group was used as a catalyst to seed the idea and offload any potential blame to a third party.

Odds are their funding is coming from BlackRock-type entities, Heritage Foundation, the Chinese and the Russian government, etc.

Absolutely, but I also think that contacting government representatives would most likely be a better use of energy. These direct contact forms will probably go straight into the bin.

Yeah, I would have thrown that recommendation in, but I've seen it thrown about by many of the regulars in a lot of the threads so I thought it was a bit redundant. Perhaps the whole thing is, who knows.

Are you paid to gaslight people to accept rule by unelected entities?
So one side can organize and pressure, the other is not allowed to?
