best bet is to make a ticket about it, so they can correct their "mistakes", over and over....
only showcase i have had false banned, was an artwork, banned for advertising over abusive reports, support claimed it applied correctly, month later through a related ticket, i find out that my artwork wasnt breaking rules and should not have been banned.
needless to say, i didnt bother adding it back to my profile, because it will be false reported again (been here for over a decade, so im speaking from experience), plus artwork can only be public, despite a profile being private/friends only, thus leaves avenue for abusive false reports.
This has nothing to do with Seam Support moderation.
If you hide a game, I don't think it will show that showcase.
I contacted support in late 2022 asking for a list of the games that I played in the month of January, and the total time played on each game. The answer I got back was that they collect no such data, and thus could not help me. Then, a few months later.... TA DA!! Introducing 'Steam Replay / Year In Review'.
it was claimed applied correctly at the time it happened, the "artwork" was also still "banned" in my artwork page, i simply deleted it.
not sure what "history" they do or dont keep? we talking support tickets? i dont know if they save them on their end, but i do know they stay on your "support ticket history" for a month maybe or so?
in any case i keep screenshot of my support tickets, simply because they get removed and i cant access them, dont remember at that time if i simply showed a screenshot or still had the ticket to show them, either case, first one said it applied correctly, second one around a month later, said it shouldnt have been banned.
So in your case, only your artwork showcase was deleted from your profile? Or only the artwork in question itself was banned?
Because if they delete a showcase, they end up deleting all showcases at the same time, deleting everything you've ever done to your profile, without banning any of the content itself from what I know.
After that they're saying "Sorry we don't keep track of the showcases, can't say which one caused the deletion, much less for whichever reason it happened and we don't have the power to restore anything" and were done with it.
are you meaning "removed", or "deleted", the way you are saying it, is like they literally deleted it and they are gone completely from your profile and pc?
but "removing" the showcase, simply removes the showcase, leaving your artwork pictures still in the steam folder for access to make artwork showcases.
mine was banned (a single picture (artwork)), which removed it from use, ie... the artwork showcase was removed from my profile, the artwork picture was still viewable in the artwork picture page (also showing it was banned from use), where you choose stuff to make your artwork showcase.
now i could have easily, deleted (i did delete it) that artwork picture and added the 4 pictures back (i have backups and the original i made the artwork from, seeing as i made them) into a showcase at the time it was banned, or even after finding out it wasnt bannable, in about 1-2 mins, but with artwork showcases required to be public (steam nonsense), despite profile being private, then it was a waste of time, as it would be report abused again.... despite not being bannable...
i only had one artwork showcase, nothing else was removed from my profile, though i also dont "pretty" my profile like others do, way to much work and time wasted, on something my private profile doesnt need, the tiny amount i did was nothing special.
they might not keep certain history (or they could simply be not truthful), but im pretty sure they keep, reports, moderation and support tickets logs, on their end, while the user has access to only moderation notifications and limited time support ticket history.
Ah sorry, I mean removed. But I said deleted, because if I remove a showcase myself and would want to add it onto my profile again later on, it would have saved what I had last put into the showcase. All of that was gone, however not a single picture or anything else was banned. Just the showcases removed. All of them. If you check how big my profile is, it is a lot of work to redo everything, as not a single item displayed, not a single piece of any showcase is saved. Simply everything was removed.
On top of that I'd have to guess what exactly even caused it. I did change a few things, just to be sure, but I do not believe anything is worthy of getting removed. Especially if they don't outright ban it from use, like in your case.
ah, now i think i see and thats odd... you didnt mention, but you saying support removed it? if so did you get any type of notification of it being removed?
or everything just randomly disappeared ("removed")?
if support removed it, that would mean you got a notification, that it was removed due to reports (despite bannable or not), i wouldnt expect them to randomly wipe a persons showcases for w/e reason, with zero notification and at least a reason.
edit:
looked back in my history, for the links.
