Steam no longer has to bribe people to join their website and buy games here. I don't miss it. I mostly ignored that stuff, anyway. In fact, I make a decent amount of pocket change selling my trading cards now, which is arguably better than getting a few free cards.

Your first steam sales are always the best, they go downhil from there due to things you want you already bought.

Steam is still pretty cool to me! I don't blame them for the prices of some games, because they don't set the prices, the devs do!

And sales are as good as they've always been. If games you want are on sale and you can finally guy them, yay for you! If you can't, then oh well, better luck next time!

People get pretty darn entitled.

Sales events were ruined by ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lied about said event to dump on it. Yeah, whatever, some people need to spread negativity to feel better about their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ lives but the moment we've reached lying, it's nothing but toxic. So yeah, as (almost) always in life, thank the toxic pricks for not haivng nice things.

Apart from that, those "sweeet digital prices" are still there. I gut a bunch of stuff off my wishlist (and a few games game that weren't on my wishlist but had some really sweet discounts) during the autumn sale.

Did you remember when Valve gave away the entire Steam catalog to a user?

Yeah, don't lie eh, that's the absolute worst thing you can do.. in general.

Prices have steadily rose over time, in general.

That's inflation etc - it's like a balloon, when something bad happens..
