random invites from weird profiles
i have encountered alot of weird invites from alot of people adding me, everyone of them has the same thing going on, around lvl 10 on steam, plays CS2, dota 2, and sometimes also tf2. i keep getting invites, not from the same guy, but different acounts again and again, in the past month i have gotten 10-20 invites, some have commented on my profile saying "added" or "very friendly guy come play with me" keep in mind i have never seen nor played with any of them. and others just send me a invite. i was just curious to see if im the only one getting weird invites all the time or if its a bigger problem all around.

You have an attractive pfp,

You played well in a game on my team,

Your account was aesthetically pleasing.

Am I obligated to goon to your profile?
No - not yet. But you should not take this compliment lightly. Otherwise I will be forced to retract my aforementioned gooning, which may put your steam account privileges in jeopardy.

How can I get more people to goon to my profile in the future?
Accept the compliment and move on. But remember: behavior like this is rare on Steam. I will continue to goon as long as your profile pleases me. Remember: Steam is privilege, not a right.

Scammers looking possibly steal your account.
Low level accounts that play CS2, DOTA2, and TF2 sending friend invites are most likely compromised accounts being used by scammers to find new targets.

Just refuse the invite block them.
I get them all the time, just ignore them. 99% of the time it's some scammed or weirdo so it's not worth the headache.

Just do what I do: Block each and everyone you don't know who sends you invites, friend & trade requests or whatever.

Always blocked everyone and never missed out on anything.
block, report, contact local authorities, buy a gun, carry it with you everywhere loaded, self-isolate and trust no one. stay safe.
