Earning points from reactions shouldn't be a thing
It's only motivates wrong people to engage in trolling activity with ragebaiting and farming reactions.
Leave it as it is, just give reactions, that cost steam points but without giving points to post's writer. Or make earning points only from "Take my points" reaction.

It slowly turned every game discussions in a cancer with ragebaiting posts.
Reactions, especially negative MUST NOT BE REWARDING.

Today I saw posts from a person with a new Steam account who started participating in the forum less than 24 hours ago and in many discussions he publishes some strange posts, baits (i.e. I'll give something for free) just to attract attention and has already managed to collect a dozen or so Steam rewards just for nothing

Yup, been saying this for a while.
Only allow awards for reviews, artworks, screenshots and so on.
NOT for forum posts. That was the worst idea Steam ever had and has turned nearly the entire forums, be it the official ones or the game subforums into toxic cesspools.

Also the problem of people just keep giving out their points for no reason . Remember that you have to buy something to get those points , of course you don't have to if you are a rage baiter but there is totally no reason for said rage baiter to give his points to someone else .

Doesn't seem to be working, unfortunately. I guess you have to get enough people onboard with that though for long enough to get farmers to give up. A logistical nightmare to get such level of coordination here, AFAIK.

With the fact that some trolls will spam some people with jesters, I am glad that they are worth something. Free points from aggressors is a good thing, to be honest...
