Steam has largely ruined the community market with this confirmation BS
Look, I understand there are scammers out there and there will always be, and I understand requiring confirmation for purchases going over a "significant" sum, but this is just stupid and increasingly wasteful of the user's time to require you to confirm every single purchase or sale you are going to make when their price is measured in a few cents. Especially so when their servers can't even seem to handle the bandwidth and in the time you spend trying to confirm your purchase of a whopping 5 cents the item is already gone. The use of common sense is not outlawed and it is generally even encouraged.

Many platforms do this now, its going to become a legal requirement more widely. We just have to see it for what it is, friction.
I'm pretty sure Valve knows how many marketplace transactions the average user does and surely aren't that many as for confirmations to become a chore.

Based upon your inventory you appear to be a market manipulator. There's no reason for anyone to own eighty of the exact same foil. Other then to corner the market, and gouge their fellow man. As such you are one of those people that ruin trading cards, and I for one don't feel the slightest bit of sympathy for the likes of you.

You're one of the people ruining it, and what they're doing is fixing it. Nobody feels sorry when a scalper gets their comeuppance. Nobody outside of other scalpers has your back. I hope Valve squeezes you guys even tighter. You're the reason folks can't finish their badges. You're the very reason card collecting can't just be fun.
LOL

Sounds like it's greedy Steam users trying to get rich on pennies that are really hurting the market, LOL

It really isn't about that.
