What is happening now on Steam has never happened before. There are laws that must be respected. Payment processors are not allowed to act as content censors.

Age verification is a different thing, I'm talking about censorship that occurs at the request of payment managers

Can't you just use a VPN or something? Like I live in the US, and none of the adult games I play have been censored or removed from my account.

That's what I thought, but it seems like they're eliminating nsfw games, preventing the release of subsequent seasons.

i believe steam does not let nsfw games use early access anymore too, it's not just loli, nor is it just in the uk

Valve has to follow the laws of the countries in which it sells the games.

To be hones, im quite surprised that those games are openly sold in the US, as Sexual Content is there usually rated for Adults only (aka 21+) and not sold openly in regular stores (as far as i as a non US Citizen know)

If I want to play porn games I wouldn't be buying them from some place that is monitoring my play.

But they are allowed to choose who to do business with and can deny their services as they feel.
The Payment processors are simply saying.. you sell this stuff then we don't do business with you.

Which is weird since the have no problem being used to purchase like actual crazy porn with real people, and things like sex dolls and dildos of all manner of shapes sizes and flavours.

Steam has never been a "free" place. Valve have banned/refused to sell far more games since the late 2010s than any payment provider has demanded them to remove.
