Why would a week be too short?

There are probably at least these two major reasons:

- The next sales and events (Halloween etc.) are just around the corner
- Fall/autumn is a busy release season. A sale clogging the front page for more than a week is detrimental to selling Steam front page space to publishers

Browsing the price history of a couple games on steamdb, looks like the Spring and Autumn sales are generally shorter than Summer/Winter. And Autumn is a week.

I just wish I could actually see what the hell is on sale, this new store is the WORST. Every title card is way too big, steam discounts 5k games at a time, I'm not browsing the library when i can only fit 7 on my screen at a time.

Edit: For anyone else hating new steam store, just click the magnifying glass without typing anything in the search bar and your eyes can cease being assaulted by wasted space and giant boxes

Summer and Winter are the big ones. All others are typically just the one week.

Summer/Winter, major sales events, always 2 weeks. Also has trading cards/badge and a Seasonal badge in the points shop.

Spring/Autumn, minor sales events, always 1 week.

They also do not have cards, badges nor do they have the Seasonal Badge from the points shop.

1 week is enough, spamming tard games for sale is not cool, might work with the kids but I am pretty sure the real spenders are laughing @ so called sale.. I think they watch 2 many ford employee pricing commercials.

Ahh yes I noticed no Autumn Sale badges, I did get those in the summer sale :)
