Buying Steam credit was always prominently shown at the top left, right next to trends and recommendations, now it's hidden under "Browse".

The empty space is (probably) a temporary state of affairs. They're working on widening all the store pages, so the empty space at the edges is going to go away.

All the top dropdowns now require an extra click to open, where as before they were mouse over. The sidebar content is also completely gone and there is heavy blank space, it feels like a mobile site rather than a desktop app. I've been fine with all the previous UI changes but this is bad enough that I found my way here to complain

I feel like we just passed from Windows 7 to Windows 8...Can we have an option somewhere to opt out of this new UI?

The worst part is the new search box. Now when you click it, it will assault your eyes with a drop-down menu with several games, labeled "popular searches". I f***ing clicked the box because I KNOW EXACTLY what I want to search for, I don't need or want your "popular" recommendations. Stick your ADVERTISING where the sun doesn't shine!

ye totally agree, hate these popular searches so much

even -vgui doesnt work anymore, we are stuck with this new design....
so sick of another multi-bilion compainies comming up with another dumb UI change nobody has asked for

I own, enjoy, and play my games on a PC.

I do not enjoy or play my games on a Cell Phone/Tablet/Console/Steam Deck

I am sick and tired of companies that keep aggressively pushing Cell Phone/Tablet/Console/Steam Deck based UIs onto the PC platform resulting in a degraded experience,

I also do not like companies that believe they know what I enjoy more than I do and am tired of them aggressively pushing the exact same games at me no matter what category or menu I select.

Even worse is when (as Steam has done here) pushing things I don't want to see anymore of at me several more times in the attempts to keep me from searching for the exact thing I do want.

youll have to get used to the fact its not your platform, its just the platform you play on.

Is it just the menu messing with my senses or does the discussion pages look smaller.

I was skeptical when I saw the update but I actually like it.
