"Playable" on Steam Deck
So I'm really quite tired of games that are marked as "Playable" on Steam Deck which are very much not. The most recent for me was a little cozy game called Witchy Business. Nothing wrong with the game--but the labeling is misleading. It really isn't possible to play it with the Deck's controls. It's not the only one by far. Valve has an interest in things showing up as "playable" to keep selling their hardware, but this is a deceptive practice that hurts devs and harms consumer trust.

I realize that devs don't determine the compatibility listing but perhaps enough customers complaining via negative reviews will get them to put pressure on Valve to refine their label system to be more precise.

Deception is a great keyword for describing early-to-mid 2020's Steam/Valve. I don't even need to elaborate.
Can't find anywhere it says it's playable on steam deck.
I only find that it support for Steam OS and Linux...

My rule of thumb is to do a forum search on the game for steam deck or check YouTube.
I don't ever trust the store on that.

I usually use the forums or Proton db. But yes, this is a problem. Along with a TON of titles either listed as “Unsupported” or “Unknown” that work perfectly fine on the Steam Deck with less tinkering than some “Playable” or “Verified” titles do. And sometimes with no tinkering at all.
