I am getting a Steam Deck what games should I pick up?
I am getting a Steam Deck OLED soon, but I'm not sure what to get. If you want genres, I am a fan of
Shooters (not as much anymore, but there is nothing quite like a good boomer shooter)
RPGs (mainly magic fantasy, but I don't mind a good sci-fi either)
I am getting into Rythem recently
Beat' Em Ups (in the words of Mind Pulp, "nothing beats a good Beat Em Up)
I like Platformers, but if you want to suggest one, I would prefer that the visuals are really pretty. I don't NEED good graphics, but if I am getting a Steam Deck for a reason you know?
And speaking of visuals, if you could suggest some games that have some fun visuals like anime style or comic book style, that would also be great, because I heard OLEDs have really good color, and I want to see that for myself (I have used maybe 2 OLEDs in my whole life, so this is pretty new to me)

Check out ayaneo.com Their portable pc's are leaps and bounds better! Especially the upcoming aya neo 3 which i will have coming my way. Steam deck has to have games verified because of it's low end hardware (4 core processor LOL) and the screen is not that great. At the end of the day it is your money and your choice and that is all good so just thought i would make you aware of aya neo, have a good day.

I am aware of the Ayaneo and...I am not too sure about it I do see why people say they are better but I don't know about them man plus all I want is just a way to play my PC games on a handheld or on a TV so I think the steam deck does what I want well enough thanks for the input though I hope you also have a good rest of your day

I'm not sure which genre of games you like, but here are a few I'd recommend that run well on the Deck, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have over the past couple years!

Actually had my eye on a few of those (namely Megabonk FUMES and Katanaut and had some interest in No Im not a human) but had no clue they can run on Steam Deck so thank you for the info

Shooter: Cyberpunk 2077
Boomer Shooter: BoltGun
Beat-em-up: Shredder's Revenge
Side Scrolling Beat-em-Up: Ninja Saviors

All of them work on Steam Deck, but some need tweaks. Cyberpunk works but gets you around 2 hours of play on battery.

Forgot to add, I am not the biggest RTS fan. I don't HATE RTS games or anything, they are just not my thing. I do see the appeal, but they are not for me
