Steam library sharing to family sharing question
Hi,

My sister has had library sharing (the old system) on with someone else and now I want to add her to my family in family sharing.

Because of the cooldown thing I have a couple of questions that might be a bit dumb, but I want to be sure so I don't unexpectedly make her unable to join my family nor go back to the old shared library.

1: She says she's still in the old library sharing system, is that still possible or are the old shared libraries already converted to family sharing?

2: if it's still the old library sharing the cooldown period doesn't count for joining a family since it's technically her first time joining one, right?

Thank you to anyone reading/answering in advance <3

1. Not possible. There was a grace period where the old system was still working at the same time as Steam Families but in January this year the old family share was completely disabled by Steam.
Its possible that she still has some local files that points to those connections but no game that belongs to another account will be playable via the old family share system.

2.Having used the old Family Share system does indeed not count for any kind of cooldown with the new system. If you invite her to your Steam Family it will count as the first time she joins one.
