Early Access Label On Store DLC
I think DCS DLC need to have Early Access label on the Steam store page.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/223750/DCS_World_Steam_Edition/

All their DLC are actually an early access product. Steam should have listed this as an early access product so customer can make correct decision when buying their DLC.

Their main product DCS is free, but their DLC is not. Now couple of their product actually never delivered properly and stopped developed middle way because it was an early access DLC product.

If Steam can't fix this by adding Early Access product on their store page, Steam should remove it from the store page because it was not right to put Early Access product as fully release, it will make customer misinformed of what kind of product they buy.

I think this is one of way that the game company can circumstance Steam Early Access label.

The game wasn't released into early access.

Steam (or their employess) do not set categories for products.

How Software is tagged is a 100% decision of the publisher/developer.

But all their DLC are Early Access products. They even write it in their website.

Well that’s unfortunate. If that the case now I’m sure Eagle Dynamics not list their products with Early Access label was intentional to mislead consumers.

i dont think that is the same as steam early access, they are both called early access yes but that isnt steams version

did you ask them what dcs world early access is compared to steam early access?

I would report the DLC’s using the report function. The website and steam description both state it is still in early access but it isn’t being sold as early access in the store, it is very misleading unless you read the fine print.

That what I do, but it will be useless if only one person that reports it.

Only a single report is necessary for a Valve employee to look into the report.

Spamming reports from many accounts will only make it worse to sift though all those reports.

As far as I know, Steam Early Access is only for games, not DLC.

Correct.

So I guess there’s a company that found how to circumvent that labelling by making their main product is free and put their Early Access DLC as full product in Steam store. Those DLC are not cheap they are priced as full AAA games. So I think it’s fair that it should be labeled as such. You don’t want to buy DLC for full AAA games and realised it’s Early Access games DLC that can be gone in the middle of development.
