BREAKING NEWS: CEOs of Discord, Steam, Twitch, and Reddit have been called to testify in front of Congress.

They will answer to the American people how their platforms have been used by RADICALS to advance POLITICAL VIOLENCE, including the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

Valve actually takes action if they become aware of it. Discord pretends like none exists, and reddit is reddit which is not surprising.
Thats crazy

No, it doesn't. Valve is not related to the platforms you mentioned.

If it can lead to a better handling of hate groups. No matter the side. Then I can only hope for good thing to happens. But, given the current US administration. I'm skeptical.

There's a few websites missing from that list.

Interesting.

I can attest that valve removes incitement content from their platform. Unlike the other platforms.

It is unfortunate to see Steam get roped in with the actual guilty parties, as they are the only online platform of any size that has even somewhat resisted the top-down, moderator capture takeover and politicization that you see on the other platforms.

Didn't Tyler have a steam group full of hate? Anyway, I see hate speech all the time over there in OT.

With a platform of this size. One need to be reported to get acted upon. Unless you think it is reasonable for a service as large as steam to scrub every single byte for hate groups.

Quite frankly, Valve would probably nuke the forums from orbit instead of dealing with that crap. And I'd 100% approve at this point.
