Steam’s Neglect of Its Community and the Cheater Problem
Steam does not care about its players. It never bans cheaters and never addresses our problems—it just collects money. Recently, I encountered some errors in the application, and there isn’t even a system to identify the cause. No one cares. They simply suggest things like ‘delete and reinstall.

Even when I provided the names of cheating players and sent screenshots, they never take action. They come up with ridiculous excuses like ‘we couldn’t find them,’ but in reality, they are not even trying. Cheaters are deliberately allowed. Honestly, our rights as paying players are being violated. We pay for the platform, and we expect what we paid for, yet cheaters ruin the experience and Steam allows it.

This may seem fine for now. If you haven’t had any issues yet, you might feel satisfied. But one day, when these cheaters target you and ruin your games, you will understand exactly what I mean. You will also see the truth if you encounter a problem with Steam and they ignore it. The tickets we submit are often closed with meaningless responses, and our problems remain unresolved. The support team is in a very poor state.

This is not just my opinion; it’s also the view of my friends. They have reported cheating players, yet no action or penalties were ever taken by Our rights are being violated on Steam. If one day you experience a problem, you will understand exactly what I mean.

I'm just going to repeat myself here.

Every high profile online game has cheaters. It is the sad reality of the hobby these days.

Report by the games reporting system, or via the users profile page, block, move on. You will not be notified by game devs, or even steam about what has resulted from your report.

All you can do, report, block, move on...

No need to start a off topic rant thread. There are no valve / steam employees reading this steam related sub-forum.

Don’t be funny. The problem here isn’t the existence of cheaters, it’s that cheaters are being allowed. Even though we provide all the information, support tickets are closed without any action. Also, there isn’t even an option to report cheaters in the Steam support menu, because they don’t deal with this issue—don’t try to mislead people

One could think the Name of a person would be enough....but if i search for example the Name Mr. Death, the community search comes up with more then 2000 entries.

Good luck finding a specific person with just that info.....

These steps have already been taken, as I wrote above. You’re replying without reading. The same players keep entering the game using cheats.

The VAC forum disagrees with Valve not dealing with cheaters and there was the multiple Dota 2 accounts banned for smurfing.

Secondly the games with the highest number of cheaters are not Valve games. They are Fornite, Overwatch, GTAV etc.

I'm not misleading people... But, you on the other hand are quick to dismiss opinions that does not align with your views.

does the game even use an anti cheat?

Because our issue is not whether there are cheaters on the platforms, but that no action is taken despite complaints about cheating. I put effort into raising a general problem

Yes, PunkBuster is in one of the games, but not in the other.

That is a game related problem, that will never go away, nothing to do with steam.

Everyone here has read your off topic rant, the point is why are you ranting about it by posting a off topic thread in a user to user only steam sub-forum about using the steam user interface on the client, app, website??

Because our issue is not the cheaters on the platforms, but the lack of action despite reports about cheating. I put effort into raising a general problem

You think a screenshot is proof?

Wrong.

Yes, PunkBuster is in one of the games, but not in the other.
and what was the other?

for punkbuster steam/valve have nothing to do with that anti cheat. the game may well be sold here but steam is not responsible for punkbuster.

VAC for example detects known cheats when connected to VAC secured servers. VAC bans are also delayed to prevent cheat creators from knowing which cheat was detected.

You thinking someone is cheating is not the same as a cheat detection system knowing someone is cheating.
