Maybe it's not a good idea to promote games based on race.
To me it's just makes sense to judge a game and a dev based off their product. And I'm all for events that shine lights on games that don't get much attention. I love finding diamonds in the rough.

But I was taught to never judge someone based off the color of their skin.

And yet, here we are with yet another event praising, supporting and lifting people up for the color of their skin and nothing more.

How is that not the definition of racism?

I would much rather have an event that focuses on games that have good reviews but low sales.

You are correct.
Yes we get it, you've been told by some muppet to post on here about the nasty people of colour event on Steam. Sorry no points or interest in your lack of originality or thinking for yourself.

Feel free to organize your own event for that then. This event you're complaining about was also not organized by Valve. Sure, we all want something to happen, as long as it doesn't involve any effort of our own. You have a chance at BEING the change you want to see. So, what are you waiting for? Why not start contacting developers you think need more exposure and organizing an event?
Please tell Gaben your idea

We're at the point where there are nine topics about this that are effectively the same. Seriously, if people truly want their white devs event, they can try and organize it. I however do not believe it will, because it will instantaneously kill the narrative of "reverse racism"(There's no such thing as reverse racism by the way. It's just a dog whistle that immediately spoils the whole plot. True anti-white sentiment is still just regular ol racism. Just like being anti-male is called misandry. There's literally a term for it.) all because surprise, surprise... no one will really care about it being held.

They're gonna look to see what games if any interest them and either buy some and move on, or just find nothing and then move on.

I'm just happy to see Steam feature a sale that isn't publisher led.

I'd also like to ask you something unrelated. Why would you write down your gym weights on your public steam profile, in both lbs AND kgs, if its for your own reference only? :steamhappy:

I might travel to Europe one day and have to use kilograms instead of pounds. I might not. But in the event that I do so, I would rather have the knowledge of what the closest weight I can get on their machines in Kilos.

But allow me to ask you a question, were you trying to look on my profile for something you could claim that I'm a wokie or leftist over? Hmm? All because I spoke the truth that no one would care about a White Devs sale event?

Why?

And do you feel the same about these other, basically similar sales events?
"Games from <Country>"
"Games of <genre>"
"Games by Women"

They already complained about the games by women event.

So you agree, racism is supporting/discrimating based of race alone and we should not be doing it.
