Steam offers literally no customer support options for itself
Hi. I have never used another platform or service this commercially viable that has no. support. at. all. How is this okay?

I originally set out to complain and find help from Steam people because Steam is aggressively marketing pornography (albeit in game form) to me directly, out of line with any of my product or search history, without my consent, and it pisses me off. I want to tell a Steam person this. I want the illusion that every other company provides that they may or may not give a ♥♥♥♥ about what their customers have to say. There isn't even a chat bot to pretend to record a complaint - they just aren't interested in receiving feedback of any kind, I guess? (Goes back to searching every game on GOG and its developer website before Steam)

Steam Community
"I need help with something not listed here."
At the bottom of the next page click "Contact Steam Support"
Type in your boggle and enjoy your day.

Mature filter settings are off by default. If your seeing sexual adult content then you must have turned it on at some point.

Go here and toggle it off for both store and community:

Uncheck what you don't want to see as recommendations start with preferences, among other things;

These two suggestions here, OP. Steam has support but it's via ticket system. Also, suggestions are based off viewing history, as well as porn being able to be filtered off entirely.

Adult content filters are on, by default. The OP would have had to disable them to be seeing the content they're complaining about.

The solution is the same: turn the filter back on.

The people who make this complaints never seem to remember that important detail.

yeah, no

i worked customer service in a brick and mortar

anyone calling that wanted to just tell us they were pissed got put on perma hold

this is the area for your feedback

the beta boards, really, if you have a specific bug

you can rant here about how pissed you are

but no need to dampen some worker's day,

someone who has nothing to do with your anger and can do nothing about it,

because you are stressed out/pissed off

they are not your punching bags

especially over something you control through your settings

That is a strawman argument since no one but you is talking about anger or making someone a punching bag. If you were putting disgruntled customers on permanent hold because that was easier than doing your job and offering customer support then that means you objectively failed at an entry level job and isn’t something I would be bragging about….
