Replace those two with Split Fiction and Hades 2/Ghost of Yotei and thats my prediction.
The rest i agree with.
Interesting pick for Yotei. If anything Split fiction does have a better chance of knocking out Blue Prince but my only concern there is Hazelight has already won for It Takes Two and Split Fiction, while brilliant, didn't evolve the formula much in the same way It Takes Two did. But hey lets see.
You could be 100% right.
I do agree with that writer that the show is pretty much a slog and should focus less on marketing and hype for upcoming games and should rather focus on the games nominated for that year.
But we are not really discussing the show :)
I normally just watch an edited down version of it the next morning. I ain't got the time for that 4 hour slog.
Still looking for evidence of this. I look on the Store and see a lot of Japanese games. Odd given we are meant to believe that Steam (which is not a person but a service) is somehow anti-Japanese.
Miserable people will be miserable people. They always want you to join them in their misery. Just block them and move on :), not worth the energy to be wasting on.
They clearly didn't understand the assignment - "(remember this is all subjective so lets be civil and polite in the discussion) " and "speculating is just fun and not seeing someones beloved title on a list does NOT mean Armageddon is on its way."
my GOTY by far at the moment. was a massive surprise, incredible game.
Oh wow thanks for the recommendation , I had no idea that game even existed. Adding to wishlist.
its an incredible game. i love rpgmaker titles in general because they seem to bring out the best in indie development, but even among them this one is pretty incredible. amazing art, amazing music, amazing story.
Yea, i have a feeling blue prince will win something. Clair Obscura will probably win RPG. I agree with your observations.

Hades 2 is actually still being worked on, so that may effect it being in the GOTY stuff. They just changed the ending too in the last patch.

I think this may negatively effect it in the game awards as now people have to replay the whole game to see this new ending(s).
Hollow Knight Silksong got alot of hate for the movement from people, still i believe it will be nominated at least, but not win.
Both hollow knight silksong and Hades 2 are technically fully not done as how i see it when the game is still getting worked on in patches. Again, these may effect them negatively in the gaming awards. Put it this way, if a game is still getting patches to add stuff to it like a live service game, is it considered a full game, or one still being worked on? A good example of this is like Cities Skylines 1. Although many people considered it to be fully done, they are still adding new DLC to it. I honestly believe this game is still not fully done until they say "this is the last patch/DLC". This is my personal opinion about it. What about you Dogfather? How do you see games that are still being worked on being nominated in the games awards?
That show is just a big paid advertisment show.... everyone who thinks those awards have any meaning....... they just could go after units sold to determine the winner and nothing would be different.
LOL..i don't really care for them myself, but i do look at the nominations and who wins and see if im actually interested in it, like how i put games i am interested in on my wishlist. Sometimes i buy them, sometimes i remove them.
Actually reminds me how every restaurant always have signs saying they were the best restaurant in 2XXX year hanging out in the open to all customers can see. Who cares if you got restaurant of the year from experion?
