LoveR Kiss delisted???
Supposed to come out in November. Had the game on wishlist but today I saw it as "Unavailable Item" with both Store Page and Hub gone.

What's going on? Is it censorship again?

Yes it is, again. Removed from Steam.

So why did I buy big AAA game from Steam recently and supported this censorship-heavy platform?

Let me guess, that extremely disturbing AO game Baldur's Gate 3 not banned still, right?

I wish Japanese would finally create a PC store like Steam or GOG, not just for Anime Kawaii Hentai but also for games like Yakuza.

Koreans have Stove. It's time for JP to follow suit.

Minors depicted in situations they shouldn't be in. Not accepted around the world in most cases.

Minors being sexualized will always be subject to censorship. Valve has stood on those grounds long before recent developments due to payment processors.

Really? Look at all the Sakura games and tell me that with a straight face?

What I can see about the game in question, the intent was clear in its portrayal of its characters.

You literally take photos of girls in situations that any teenager can find themselves in. There is nothing sexual in the game except the fact you could dress them up in swimsuits (which was setting appropriate given the town has a beach).

And yes, I've played every single entry in the series from the original Photo Kano upward. None were deemed sexually inappropriate by the Japanese (console) ratings board, CERO -- which is one of the strictest rating boards in the world.

Funny, you bring up CERO. Which states is CERO C. What rating is CERO C?

Please don't lecture a native of the country where this stuff comes from, thanks...

CERO D.

And if you live in Japan like I do, you know what ratings C and D are. It's even listed on the above site.

In fact, Photo Kano was CERO C. Reco Love (both Blue Ocean and Gold Beach) was CERO D. LoveR was CERO D. LoveR Kiss, also CERO D. And this one, too. CERO D.

D, sorry. Typo. Now, what content is in CERO D? And thanks for correcting it since makes your argument weaker.

I'll remind you. ADULT CONTENT.

Have a nice day, it's not coming to Steam. Not with adult content and minors.

No. Adult content is CERO Z.

It seems you need reminding that as of 2022 ish, Japanese age of majority (e.g., when considered to be an adult) is 18 lowered from the previous 20. CERO D is, as you should know, for 17 and up. Seriously, you're embarrassing yourself.

Wrong, Cero D is 17+ due to adult content. CERO Z is Strong Adult Content.

So, again, wrong. All I can say on that, you're just dead wrong.
And yes, upskirt shots is considered adult content by CERO. So are panty shots etc etc. Those fall under CERO D. So, if they rate it CERO D, why would steam bother to bring it here?

LOL. You can try to redefine it all you want, but in no stretch of the imagination was 17+ ever considered "adult" content in Japan. 17 year olds are not adults. And never were. As such, adult content would never be rated appropriate for a non-adult.

Seriously, stop embarrassing yourself.

Yes, it's been considered that for some time, why it exists. Considered softcore. Like panty shots, peeking up skirts, blood violence etc.

Maybe read the actual ratings, and quit complaining because can't be on Steam when the reasons are obvious.

I have read the ratings. That's how I know CERO D isn't for "adult" content. Panty flashes are not considered "adult" unless a country is run by the most prudish or prudes to have ever existed. Even the UK rates such content as around PG/12 to 15.

And no, people shouldn't stop complaining every time Valve's double standards are wielded against Japanese experiences. The reasons for a harmless photoshoot game being banned are not obvious at all when so many other comparative examples of similar content are sold on Steam without issue.
