My Observation
Lately, I’ve noticed that something feels different about the Steam Discussions community. It doesn’t quite have the same atmosphere it used to.

It seems that some users intentionally create off-topic or provocative posts, either to farm Awards or to stir up arguments. Out of curiosity, I decided to run a small experiment. What I found was that it’s surprisingly easy to get Awards with very little effort, or to spark heated debates just by posting something mildly controversial. I’m still unsure what the actual benefit of collecting Awards is, but the pattern was quite clear.

Another thing I observed is how engagement works. Short, reaction-driven comments tend to get instant attention, while longer and more thoughtful posts often receive little or no response. It gives the impression that many users are more interested in quick reactions than meaningful discussion.

During my experiment, I intentionally stepped out of character and acted disrespectfully, which led to a warning from the community management team. I want to sincerely apologize for that. It did, however, motivate me to revisit the Steam Rules and Guidelines, and I strongly encourage others to do the same. Based on what I’ve seen, a noticeable number of posts seem to break these rules, often without users realizing it.

I believe that if more of us took the time to review the Rules and Guidelines and reported clear violations, the community would become a much better place for genuine discussion.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I apologize for any inconvenience my earlier behavior may have caused.

I'm hoping they are making it awful on purpose so they can close down all these sections. Keep game hubs and steam feature forums but remove all these ones here

Just a guess. Could take another 6 months to a year.
