I am back on Steam for the first time in many years. I saw that a friend from a long time ago was still active so I sent him a a message two days ago. I tried to send him another today and received a message that I had been sending too many messages in a short period of time. I am not sure how two messages in two days is too many.

Also, until I clicked on Steam about a week ago, I was able to play Counter-Strike Source locally on my old laptop. Now, it won't launch without opening Steam. I have the CDs going back to Half-Life in 2000 and Counter-Strike Condition Zero. I mostly just want to play the different CStrike editions that I already own on my own machine in single player mode with bots for a while to practice and re-familiarize with the game before I jump back into online matches. Can someone please assist an old man who started out playing Counter Strike 1.6 at an internet cafe back in 2000? Thank you!
