7 Days Ban
I’m writing to respectfully appeal the 7-day cooldown I received. During my recent match, I had an unexpected situation come up and had to leave. I asked my teammates to kick me, but they refused to do so, which unfortunately led to an abandonment penalty.

I understand the importance of maintaining fair play and consistency in matches, and I don’t make a habit of leaving games. This was an unusual circumstance, and I would really appreciate it if the cooldown could be reconsidered.

Thank you for your time and understanding.

Best regards,

MRCoowl

Cooldowns are not bans.

You need to wait it out.

Not sure what you want us steam users to do with this information..... You be better off contacting the games devs.

Counter-Strike cooldowns and bans are non-negotiable and cannot be removed or reduced by Steam Support.

Abandoning matches

Explicit warnings are shown to players who wish to abandon Competitive matches. Choosing to abandon an incomplete Competitive match will result in a Competitive cooldown for your account.

Users experiencing network or technical issues may be disconnected from Competitive matches, resulting in a cooldown for abandoning or failing to reconnect to the match in time.

Cooldowns can not be lifted when issued correctly.

The system cannot tell the difference between you leaving for an emergency, a power outage, or you rage quitting.

To the system all of those look the same.
The only thing you can do is wait for the cool down to end.

Support cannot speed it up or cancel it.

Cooldowns are not bans.

Granted.

I lifted your cooldown. Have fun with playing.

For the future: Do not rage quite or it's 14 days next time.
Don't troll.
It's not a cool as you think it is.
"Cooldowns" now? How many more intuitive ways will they find to prevent people from playing the games they own?

And who in their right mind would buy a game, leaving it up to "players' to make decisions whether they can play or not? You're just throwing money away.

Hopefully you have a way to play on official servers.

Cooldowns in CS2 have been there since the beginning. It's not new.

What a ridiculous game. Any time there's an issue, they're the problem.

Cheats, hacks, "circumvented" accounts, bans, and "cooldowns".

The day you ever see me playing that game, please call a medical practitioner on my behalf :steamfacepalm:

The drops alone paid for an Index, 2 Steam Decks and dozens of games, with left over inventory items.

Tell me you don't understand the game, without telling me you don't understand it.

The "cooldowns" are only for ranked match making. It's not a cool down on playing the game as a whole. There are plenty of competitive games with ranked match making that do this, because it discourages people from leaving a match to prevent a loss and lose their rank.

Whilst genuine things can happen that force players to leave early, there's no way any system can know this, so it has to be a blanket system.

It doesn't prevent you from playing the game in any other way and has been a thing for over a decade.

I understand it enough to stay the hell away from it. And i suggest others do the same.
The bigger issue us the tier 4 cooldown which is 1 week. That mean they already had a 30 minutes, 2 hours and 24 hours stack up before the 1 week and not letting the tiers reset in between.

In all my years, I've only ever had 3 30 minute cooldowns and never close enough together to stack them and needing to reset the tiers.

You dont understand literally anything about it, which you have demonstrated for a second time now.

Please, sit down and leave the talking to those who actually understand the subject matter.

You are, as always, ill-informed.
What on earth is the op on about, and what crazy game bans you for 7 days if you leave so i can avoid it..
