I hate this new purchase confirmation system so much
So, apparently, it isn't good enough that I am logged in, I need to log in for EVERY purchase using steam guard, or else I can't buy anything. I am too lazy for this BS, I don't wanna reach for my phone every time I wanna by some low-priced games or gift something to my friends. If there is a way to turn this off, lemme know. I hate it and I want it gone. I shouldn't need my phone on hand to shop on my PC.

In a browser it has to be done everytime. When doing purchases via client or app not, indeed.

As said, OP, you can simply do your purchases in the Steam client or via the app on your phone.

Yeah. I always used a browser to browse the store, putting games in tabs and checking them to wishlist them or add them to the cart.

Synchronised carts now mean I can still do that and do the purchase via the client/app without having to re-add the cart.

This is happening with me in the desktop app. It used to sometimes not even ask for CC 3 digit code if I entered it recently.

Only happens to me when i use a browser after adding a game to the cart and go to checkout then i have to sign in. On the Client and App i have no need to sign in at checkout.
It might be a protection for session hijacks.
Reasonable.

This happened to me directly IN the client. More steps .. more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Gotta love it. I cannot wait to see what they have next up their sleeves to make the lives of paying customers *more* difficult.. and of course blame the scammers. Even though when someone gets scammed its totally on them.

It's propably more of a bug with session cookies.

I'm surprised people think it's a huge deal. As if people buy 3 game separately each day. And even then it'd take you 90 seconds at most.

I already find there are too many steps just to game on a computer these days.. no reason to keep adding more.. getting tired of trying to get to the top.
