Until my fibre will be installed I have internet via 4G with congstar sim and TP link router MR6400.
It works fine for my work but STEAM can't connect.
With my DSL connection I had before, steam worked fine. So it has to be related to the TP link router.
May I ask how you solved your issue?
my solution was to add an ipv4 address to my router. You need ipv6 i think to access normal stuff which my router had, but you need to have ipv4 for gaming related stuff. Its a weird solution, but this is what ultimately helped me. Your going to want to google how to add an ipv4&6 address to your router via the admin page.
thanks for the reply EGG.
I figured it out the day after I wrote you. In my case it was related to the "Profile Name" inside the Internet settings of my TP Link router.
Default setting was "Congstar internet (default 1)". I changed it to "Telekom internet (default 4)" and the issue was gone.
I can only assume that each setting has its own set of properties and for some reason the congstar setting didn't work.
CU :)
