Unable to Edit Profile (solved)
I wanted to update a couple things about my profile, my description and location, however everytime i attempted to make a change i just got the error: "an error occurred while setting account details". How do I solve this? I'm on wifi, steam account is running normal, everything is fine except I can't edit my profile.

Most likely is a profile editing cooldown. Give it 4 hours, I believe that's how long it lasts.

It’s a cooldown. When I used to be into changing my profile nearly constantly I ran into that. Obviously that is not why I stopped doing that but it is something to consider, stick to one thing for a little while longer.

i dont think i was changing my profile that much, i tried searching for available steam user links by testing them and trying to save (none were available :slugcatdead: ), im assuming that doing that enough triggered the same cooldown

Yes, any saved edit will contribute towards the cooldown. That includes changing your profile URL, so that was probably what gave you the cooldown.
