Exclamation mark
Is it only me, but I have noticed this from long ago, and in different computers. Right now I have a 2560 x 1440 display so I don't think it's a resolution problem.
The problem, if you use the exclamation mark !! in a discussion, it looks only as a line, as a capital I. It looks fine in the title and this forum, for some reason. But in the game forums it's just a line. Is it the font? Can I adjust something? I never use the exclamation because of this.

I was about to start a thread about it, It's a minor annoyance but yeah I was always wondering what is wrong with this font

It's a combination of Valve using a rubbish font and forcing a woefully too small font size. If you're browsing Steam through a third party browser, you can try adjusting the css files to use a better font. If you're browsing through the Steam client, you're stuck with it.

Found an easy fix though, if you go into Accessibility in Steam Settings (top left) you can bump the UI text scale two notches bigger and make the the exclamation mark look much better.

The Accessibility options weren't possible in 2023 since they were added in June 2025.
