Same issue here, when i right clic on a contact, i can't close the menu by left clic in other place
The opened menu stay here, and block any other action.

Same issue for me. It only started a few hours ago. I am unable to join games through the friends list using 2 different steam accounts and computers. I re-installed the games, restarted steam, checked and un-checked remote play, checked my firewall... nothing is working. I did nothing other than to try to remote play unrailed.

If you tested in 2 differents comp with 2 differents accounts and tried fresh reinstall, then it means that this bug which affects only some users like us can be fixed only by steam support.

Try making your friends list wider in the steam overlay. I don't know how much wider it needs to get, but I saw somewhere someone saying how they did that, and it no longer kept freezing when you clicked on it in the steam overlay.

In fact, it works well when i'm on desktop, but not as well during game.

So it isn't just mac users having this problem? Huh, maybe it was the newest update that happened. really hope they fix it cause it is really annoying. I have restarted steam 5 times and even did my computer, nada.

For years, shortly after steam client was updated, every time I play Duke Nukem Forever or any other game, I can no longer invite my friends to play.

In fact, before the client update,I would invite dozens of players at once, and everything was fine for everyone, but for years now, I've been unable to invite practically anyone because I can only invite one friend at a time,after which the steam overlay closes within a millisecond (you can barely notice it if you slow the video) and then I have to reopen it every time. Because the overlay suddenly closes for no reason,I have to reinvite one at a time, making it almost impossible to organize a tournament,matches and even play a single game.

Over time,this bug has heavily damaged our community.

I ask you to help solve this long-standing bug and suggest me what to do because this thing is shameful and unqualifiable
