[Bug?] Game not filling whole window
So NightSky is finally not crashing on mac, but I've still got a problem. Game looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/BebcfDr.png?1

Just filling the bottom left corner. All the time. It only seem to be happening to a small few and I don't know what We've done wrong/different. I've verified the game cache and tried deleting and reinstalling the game, so now I'm here asking for help.

System Information
MacBook Pro, Retina Mid 2012
OS X 10.11.2
2.7 GHz Intel Core i7 Processor
16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Memory

:steamsad: It's only to you. My wife bought it and also runs in the same way in all our macs so if you find any fix for this please share because I couldn't find any on Google.

Does anyone know if this game actually works properly on any Mac?

Not at the moment because they not updated the game for El Capitan...

It's not working in Yosemite either, though... at least for one of the people above.

Well I told my wife to play it on Windows and yup it work like a charm. Game developers neglect OSX because it's so hard to program, apparently, and because they must think that the people that have a Mac = workaholic and don't have time to play games...

Well I have 4 Macs and 1 Windows desktop and he's only mission is to play games.

[SOLUTION]

I had the same issue, I was able to resolve it by toggling Low Resolution mode.

  1. Navigate to and select the app.*
    ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Nightsky/NightSky.app
  2. Choose Get Info from the File menu. (or right-click & select Get Info, or ⌘-I)
  3. Place a checkmark next to "Open in Low Resolution".

Search this page for "Low Resolution" to see Apple's instructions on toggling "Low Resolution" mode: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202471

Same issue. Solution listed worked. Thanks to mrienstra!

The game surprisingly ran well on M1 Pro, but the issue with that it covers only the lower left quarter of the screen is still reproducing. From what I can say, that solution with "Open in Low Resolution" currently doesn't work because there is no such checkbox in "Get info" window at the moment. If anyone finds the solution that is currently relevant, please write it in this topic.
