I trust to original files from steam - 14 years of using Steam - no viruses in files , your problem is somewhere in your Storage,or in your Antivirus software ....

AVG and Avast (same program nowadays, literally) are probably the worst AV's you can have. They give false positives more than they can actually detect real malware, games being the worst contender especially indies.

"generic" in the name also literally means "we don't know what this is so.... meh we'll delete it for you"
