Honestly, i was on the fence, but in the end, there are too many problems to recommend this.

- Gameplay bugs, UI/Menu bugs, bugs. Actions getting stuck, interactions becoming uninteractable, skills that don't work, unclearable 'new' flags, regularly having to save & reload to 'fix' the game state, etc.
- Poorly explained systems that you have to figure out by yourself (or reading forums).
- The world map UI is patently bad, you are constantly wasting time, accidentally giving orders, accidentally cancelling them, it's a usability mess.
- The controller support is glitchy, buggy and inconsistent. Half the lists can be scrolled with a stick, the rest you have to drag and drop (with a damn controller cursor) a ridiculously narrow scroll bar. Dialog boxes popping on top of things, but input still going to what's underneath and not to the box. It feels like an intern developed the UX.
- It's weird to complain about getting too much content, but the game absolutely overstays its welcome. It's much too long for how shallow and repetitive it is, and it forces a painfully protracted narrative.

And, speaking of, last but not least, the story.
- Protagonist railroaded into being stupid to make the bad guys look good.
- Branches with only bad endings unless you have a given skill.
- Protagonist railroaded into doing ooc/theme breaking stuff.
- Absolutely ridiculous Villain who should have died in an alley at the start of act 2 (like 25% of the game in), and who should have died over and over throughout the story, but is left alive because "ah, ah, no, we don't know for sure he's a villain. He keeps doing villainous things, everyone knows it, but no one will stop him." The protagonist won't stop him either, even after the Nth assassination on himself, his sister, his mother, his companions, etc.
- Basically, the story is just an exercise in eye rolling.

So yeah, just... no.

But the tactics part is fine. The classes are basic, half the skills are useless, but it works and it was fun for a short while there. The theme is fun, the universe is immersive, the voices and production values are OK for that price point. There are good ideas behind the systems (map, legion management, camp building, character progression), but it's just shallow and poorly executed pretty much across the board. Sort of a missed opportunity, but at least it's not crazy expensive.

Really good CRPG\TRPG hybrid

Bad game. Combat is ok. Story and everything else is awful. Never been so glad to be done and so quick to uninstall a game. Do better.
