No, sadly I was unsuccessful in finding the password. Hopefully somebody more skilled with this kind of thing can figure it out in the future.

I tried to hash crack it yesterday, no success unfortunately, or nothing I could work with, I think I'm missing something. But at this point I barely know the software I'm using let alone the subject matter so it might take time. If I learn something I'll pass it on.

No, I'm afraid not. I've done a few brute force attempts on it and got no results. So either the software sucks, the password is pretty long, or they used chinese characters or umlauts or something. idk

Technically it can still be brute forced. I didn't because I excluded special characters, as I said. I used alphanumeric only. A brute force using every character will still achieve success eventually. That's what makes it brute force. It just takes time.

Does the password work with Shadow Warrior too?

Hopefully you are asking about the original(2011) non 64bit shadow warrior. They changed the file format in the directx 11(2013) version of the game.

The password for the older version is:

If I come up with an easy way to extract the dx11(2013) version I will update this post. Most likely there is a QuickBMS script for it floating around, but I cannot quickly find one. Most of these things were on the XeNTaX forum, but those have been wiped from history.

I am fairly busy with real life work, so it doesn't seem likely in the short term.

Then I wish you good luck with that. I discovered that many console commands in Hard Reset/Hard Reset Redux and Shadow Warrior 2013 are in read-only mode, meaning they're disabled in game. I wonder if there's a way to enable them by tweaking some stuff in the files.
