i think its the same game just with some tweaks and stuff. some people say one is better than the other but others say otherwise. just check the forums i guess (redux is said to be easier and targeted towards consoles)

Hard Reset Redux has worse graphics, but adds I believe one new enemy type as well as a few gameplay changes like the addition of a katana as well as a dodge ability. I think they also made it easier. Personally, I'd just stick with the original.

What i have seen it the looks way worse but your FPS are 3x. The vid that showed both had about a 200fps differecne.

The dodge stuff I found annoying in Shadow Warrior. There were just too many tap tap commands to do too many different things. I played just straight without any flashy moves.

I read there is a little new content in HR:R. Even as a massive fan of HR, I won't be buying Redux because some are saying the graphics a poorer. Whereas the graphics in HR are exceptional and some of the best realisation I have seen in any game.

Play Hard Reset first.

If you didn't like Hard Reset, try the Redux. You might end up liking that instead.

If you did like it, try the Redux only if you feel like seeing what a faster, easier version plays like.

Hard Reset: Extended Edition, is simply Hard Reset with the DLC added on free for absolutely everyone. It extends the game to about double length.

Well of course it has 3x the Fps when its 3x worse in the Graphics department. Any game can get 200+ FPS, just turn it to Low settings and BAM! 200fps a.k.a Hard Reset Redux.

No it doesn't dude. I own both games and youtube videos don't show exactly what you say in game. And the textures are COMPLETELY different in the original. In the original you can see the abrasion in the metals. Trust when i tell you its not the same. Be as it may the redux does play better with the updated mechanics, but the original Looks 10x better. It's up to the consumer to decide which is more important. And the term "play better" is quite relative/subjective.

In my opinion, playing better is always more important than graphics. But I'm still standing to the fact that in the video, there was pretty much no difference in the graphics.

The only time I can even see a difference is at 2:32, the redux looks worse there. But every other time I don't even notice when it switches from original to redux.

the short time i have played with redux i havent seen drastic differences between the 2 graphically.however i liked the the new look better.doesnt felt a downgrade.sure looks different, but its not ugly.something looks better something looks worse.

on the video they just focused on the most noticable parts, which u wont even notice ingame probably while playing, unless ur goal is to find differences.

what i dont liked in redux is the gameplay, so i refunded xD

Man, you guys are making me feel like I need to go back and try the original now...I personally enjoyed Redux a fair bit and thought it was a really good-looking game. Lighting, textures, physics, all seemed to be pretty stand-out to me even compared to some more modern titles. All these claims about how the original looks dramatically better has me curious though. I own them both so I suppose I could just install and see but my save in redux is near the end, anyways I write all of this to say did this turn out to be true in some regards? Do the graphics still appear better in some regards in the original? Or did they correct the issues people complained about at launch?

Also does the original have less physics/interactivity with the world or is it the same? I personally really like how much the environment reacts to you in redux.
