Replayability?
I'm enjoying the depth of the game and how it forces me to consider making things as modular and readable as possible, but speedrun aside, it seems like the replayability potential is rather weak.

I'm currently on my first playthrough (Colony mode), currently farming "science research currency" spent around 2k of these so far, but it seems that I'll just figure out how to sort everything on my first playthrough, and if I feel like restarting, I'd just do everything that I did again, the same way.

Would yall say there're still variations to new playthroughs, other than minor terrain factors? Or is the first playthrough already so long that I'll have enough of the game by the time I reach the end?

There is some variation but not much unless you completely change how you program your bots.

The different game mode can add a bit more replayability, but it hasn't been enough to keep me interested at least.

I play a bit of time attack where I start things line metal mining early and those "minor terrain factors" can have a far larger effect on gameplay, though it generally requires that you intentionally choose them.

Piratebots exists for a reason and it's more than a little fun, but I learnt plenty on my second playthrough and I'm on like 5 or 6. I still play mostly in the same style, but as you get deeper there's still more to learn. I'm gonna call this a solid MEDIUM in terms of depth.

There's more here than you think.
