Hey everyone!

Thank you for joining us for the launch of STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of Mineral Town! We can't wait for you to start your new life on the farm!

I just wanted to start a central support thread to gather any issues y'all are experiencing. Post as many details as you can here so we can better investigate on our end!

Useful debug information:
  • DxDiag output as a .txt file
  • Steps to reproduce the issue
  • Screenshot of in-game settings and launcher settings
  • Crash dump files
    Often located here %LOCALAPPDATA%\CrashDumps
    It would be from "STORY OF SEASONS Friends of Mineral Town.exe"

Here are some tips to make sure you're getting the best performance out of your PC!
  • Make sure your graphics card is being fully utilized:
    • Stay updated with relevant drivers from your card manufacturer's website
    • Make sure you are using your main graphics card. Different graphics card manufacturers will have guides on how to always use your dedicated card.
  • Add STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of Mineral Town to the exceptions of any antivirus program:
    • "STORY OF SEASONS Friends of Mineral Town.exe" is the executable file you need to add.
  • Turn off any power saving mode your computer might be using:
    • Go to Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options
    • Balanced or High Performance profiles should be chosen. Any Power Saving mode will lower game performance.
  • Make sure your PC has the latest Windows Update installed.

Updates
The new patch has a fix for users crashing on launch because their CPU are not capable of using AVX. Please check the patch notes for full details:

For those experiencing missing text on screens such as the medal wagering menu for the derbies, please make sure your PC is using the correct regional settings for your language. Here is how to check:

1) Go to your Control Panel
2) Select "Region" or click "Change date, time, or number formats"
3) Click "Administrative"
4) Click "Change System Locale"
5) Select your system locale in the drop-down list.

You will have to restart your PC to apply these settings. If you need additional assistance to find this setting, please email support@xseedgames.com

There seems to be a controller sensitivity issue. When I use my GameSit controller for menu or commands, the game acts like I'm repeatedly pressing the same button. It causes the highlight to scroll through options on menus or repeatedly confirm things like conversations.

Game won't launch, at all. Config window gives me some "IchigoLauncher.MainWindow" error.

The procedure entry point GetOverlappedResultEx could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll

I keep reinstalling, but for some reason I can't play because XAudio2_9.dll is missing every time.

When using a controller the mouse will periodically be used to recenter the hand cursor.

Ex: when moving cursor on town map with a controller the hand cursor will go back to where the mouse is on the screen periodically.

I'm assuming the game doesn't turn off tracking the mouse position even when using a controller.

When opening the game .exe the display for the game is zoomed in/massive and centered in the upper left corner. I'm unable to click any settings and adjusting the native screen resolution does not fix this.

The launch of the game is in japanese by default (thank god someone got that one working on how to change it back to english)

The layout for a fullscreen is horrible. It doesnt scale automatically.

Game won't start. No error messages, no nothing. It just does not start.

Having this same issue as well.

Edit for specs: Windows 8.1, Intel Core i7-4700, 16GB Ram

same. starting it manually with the .exe, results in the error suggesting "KERNEL32.dll" is missing.

also: the launcher is completely japanese lol
