There really needs to be a blog, no matter how inconsequential the changes are
I really think this would help these concerns that players, including me are having, I've been checking this game out for ages since last update, I don't see too much on the discord nor do i check it all the time, i mean, come on, every discord has like 20 pages minimum to look through, no one has time for that, seriously... anyway, sidetracked there...

what i'm saying is no one knows whats going on and from first glance yeah it looks dead and you're looking for first glance because that's honestly how most people look at game even if they're invested, people who check on discord are a minority and me even having discord can't think of anything other than "multiplayer's being developed" from checking on there, you need a blog homie, just show ya following what you're working on and you wont get "dead game ignore lmao" threads on steam.

Do not waste your time brother.. just check the dead game thread. The dev is clearly not communicating since there is something VERY WRONG with the progress of the game.
Tbh I wouldn't hold my breath on a blog, or any form of proper communication for the dev. This game has been in early access for 3 years, and he still cant figure out how to have proper discussions with his community beyond responding to a couple of commenters once a month or so. He said a while back he would make a roadmap on his website "soon", but that didn't go anywhere beyond a passing comment one time. A few days ago, he announced he was back from a week-long vacation (That he never mentioned he was going on, making the whole thing seem like an excuse for yet another prolonged absence imo) in the discord, but it was in a random channel making it extremely hard to notice if you aren't checking every single channel every day. Since then, he had yet to respond to anyone or say anything even when directly asked about things. And of course, the only thing he had to say in regards to new content was "Pretty soon", which is what he has been saying for about 8 months now.

I'm not saying any of these things to ♥♥♥♥ on him, but it is all undeniably true and anyone is welcome to look into the dev's posts and discord if they dont believe me. Sorry bro, but you might be better off checking back in on this game in a year. If he hasn't abandoned it by then, I'm sure he'll have dropped no more than 1 content update, judging by his update history within the last 2 years.

There seems to be a little bit of bad blood, I've noticed, even with the most strong of supporters, all I'm asking of the dude is that he comes upfront with the people that are really interested in this game, its the least you can do at this point from the general vibe of how the steam forums are, people just wanna know wtf is going on... it doesnt even take much, hey even saying theres some big ♥♥♥♥ up i dont know game development but you get what i mean, all he has to do is tell us wtf is going on.

I agree, and I think the bad blood from the community to the dev is warranted at this point. This whole issue really would be as easy to solve as making an official announcement just talking about where the game is and where it's going, what's coming soon and why it's taking so long etc. Instead, the only official announcements we've ever gotten are him saying "games not abandoned guys!" which is honestly more frustrating than just dead silence. He sees us complaining, he sees what we are asking for, and yet does the absolute least to try and fix it.

On top of that, so much of his behavior is just one red flag after another. Lying about update consistency (even once saying he works on the game every day), missing deadlines he set himself by almost a year atp, no communication whatsoever about what's actually being worked on, the only survey in his discord is just "how did you hear about my game" instead of anything to do with the game itself, etc. To me, it seems like he wants to give the illusion that the game is still being worked on without actually doing anything to rake in as much money as he can.

With survey questions like that, blatant lies about updates, such a high price of the game itself, backlash for false advertising regarding multiplayer so bad that he had to take down some ads and stuff, I just can't have any faith in the dude. Frankly, I'm glad the community is turning on him. This dev's behavior is exactly how devs act before they either abandon a game entirely, or release a half-baked update and slap 1.0 on it with barely any of the original goals achieved.
